beginnings...
In 1988, Diversified Tooling Innovations began operations. The business was originally located in Sturtevant, WI in a small rented space and consisted of a few machines. As the company grew, more equipment was added, most of which was purchased for minimal outlay through auctions and liquidations. With expert repair and maintenance personnel, these machines were refitted, refurbished and began producing quality parts. Along with this growth in machining capabilities, additional services were offered and employees were hired to meet the demand. Within three years, sales justified moving into a larger space.

In 1991, DTI rented half of the building at its former location of 1219 Frederick St. in Racine, WI. Within six months they occupied the entire facility and purchasing the building became a practical decision.

By October of 1993 the company had become so large as to warrant incorporation at the advice of its accountant and lawyer. It has operated since that time as Diversified Tooling Innovations, LLC, a women-owned business controlled solely by its owners and founders Julieanne and Milan Milosevic.

With the addition of several talented sales representatives, the company continued to thrive, especially in the die cast tooling field where Milan developed a manufacturing plan to produce efficiently while maintaining quality.

The company prospered and by 1996 had outgrown the space available at the Frederick Street location. Machinery and equipment not critically necessary in day to day operations was stored in various rented locations. It became apparent that a permanent solution would be needed to solve the floor space problem and a plan was developed to
find a new facility.

In 1998 a building was located and purchased. The new plant consisting of 45,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space along with 9,000 sq. ft. of engineering and administrative office space became the new location of DTI in May of 1999 when all equipment and operations were moved in.

With the constraints of limited space lifted, the company continues to grow adding new customers and increasing sales with existing ones.
